The Basic Rescue Task Force Course is designed to be an introduction to the rescue task force concept which is a major change in doctrine for EMS & Law Enforcement. This is a two-day course that is designed to train the provider in lifesaving techniques for active shooter situations, bombings and any MCI scenario. The course offers multiple in-depth training scenarios that are used to drive home lifesaving techniques. The rescue task force training takes trained day to day EMS providers, and then partners them with law enforcement on scene to rapidly enter secured areas of an active shooter incident. The concept allows medically trained personnel to provide triage, emergent care and provide expedient patient extrication to a higher level of care. This course is designed to bring EMS together with law enforcement to collaboratively train as a rescue task force. The Basic Rescue Task Force Course will include classroom instruction and fast-paced field training exercises.
