SEARCH & RESCUE INITIAL ACTIONS

 

Imagine being the first person on-scene to locate a reported missing child or Alzheimer’s patient. Every minute counts in finding them safely.  Is your agency or team trained to act quickly and effectively to initiate the search?   

SAR Initial Actions is designed to provide the first-on-scene personnel with a proven systematic plan that increases the likelihood of quickly and safely locating a person who is lost or missing.  Participants will leave with confidence in knowing what actions to take during the unfolding minutes to one hour after being the first to arrive on a missing person call. Employing the principles of SARIA increases the likelihood of the quick and safe recovery of lost persons.  The course was designed primarily for front line law enforcement officers but is also valuable for Fire, EMS, and Search and Rescue personnel.  Course includes multiple tabletop exercises.
