Course Description:
So, you want to be in EMS? Or maybe you are looking to take the next step in your EMS career. Join us for this prep session to learn practical strategies that can help you start strong, stay organized, and be more successful in your upcoming EMS class.
The EMT Class Prep Session is designed to help future EMS students better understand what to expect before entering an EMT, AEMT, or other EMS training programs. This session focuses on preparing students for the academic, practical, and professional expectations of an EMS course.
Participants will discuss common course expectations, including attendance, participation, skills practice, testing requirements, professionalism, time management, and the level of commitment needed to succeed. The session will also introduce students to the structure of EMS exams, including how questions are written, how to approach scenario-based testing, and how to avoid common test-taking mistakes.
In addition, students will review effective study strategies, note-taking methods, test preparation habits, and ways to manage the workload of an EMS class. This session is ideal for new students preparing to begin their EMS journey, current providers returning to the classroom, or anyone looking to build a stronger foundation before starting an EMS program.
By the end of the session, participants will have a clearer understanding of what EMS education requires and practical tools to help them prepare for success.
